LEVITRA
General Information
LEVITRA (Vardenafil) is a new oral therapy for
the treatment of erectile dysfunction. This monohydrochloride
salt of Vardenafil is a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine
monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).
What it's For
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition where the penis does
not harden and expand when a man is sexually excited, or when he
cannot keep an erection. Levitra may help a man with ED get and
keep an erection when he is sexually excited.
How it Works
When a man is sexually stimulated, his body‘s normal physical
response is to increase blood flow to his penis. This results in
an erection. Levitra helps increase blood flow to the penis and
may help men with ED get and keep an erection satisfactory for
sexual activity. Once a man has completed sexual activity, blood
flow to his penis decreases, and his erection goes away.
Dosage Information
Take Levitra as your doctor indicates. Levitra comes in
different doses (2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg). For most men, the
recommended starting dose is 10mg. Take Levitra no more than
once a day. Doses should be taken at least 24 hours apart. Some
men can only take a low dose of Levitra because of medical
conditions or medicines they take. Take 1 tablet about 1 hour
(60 minutes) before sexual activity. This medicine may be taken
with or without meals.
Possible Levitra Side Effects
The most common side effects with Levitra are:
- headache
- flushing
- stuffy or runny nose
- indigestion
- upset stomach
- dizziness
These side effects usually go away after a few hours. Talk to
your doctor if these side effects persist.
Warnings/Precautions
Do NOT take this medicine with nitrates. Do NOT take with
isorbide (medicine used to relieve chest pains). If you have
questions about which drugs are nitrates, talk to you
pharmacist. Do NOT take this medicine more that once per day.
Before taking any new medicine, either prescription or
over-the-counter, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Overdose Information
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact
your local or regional poison control center.
Drug Interactions
Do not take this medicine if you take any medicines called
"nitrates." Nitrates are commonly used to treat angina. Do not
use recreational drugs called "poppers" like amyl nitrate and
butyl nitrate. Do not take medicines called alpha blockers. If
Levitra is taken with alpha blockers, your blood pressure could
suddenly drop to an unsafe level and you could get dizzy and
faint. Do not take Levitra are allergic to Tadalafil. Do not
take Levitra if you have been told by your healthcare provider
to not have sexual activity because of health problems. Do NOT
change your dose of this medicine without talking to your
doctor. Do NOT DRINK alcohol to excess when taking this medicine
(for example, 5 glasses of wine or 5 shots of whiskey). When
taken in excess, alcohol can increase your chances of getting a
headache or getting dizzy, increasing your heart rate, or
lowering your blood pressure.
Missed Dose Information
Follow dosing instructions. This medicine is used when needed
and not taken on a regular basis.

VIAGRA
How Viagra Works
VIAGRA (Sildenafil) is used to treat erectile
dysfunction. Viagra causes smooth muscle in the penis to relax,
increasing blood flow to the penis.
Viagra Dosage Information
Take Viagra 1 hour before sexual activity. The manufacturer
mentions an acceptable range of one half hour to four hours that
the medicine can be taken before sexual activity.
Possible Viagra Side Effects
- headache
- flushing
- upset stomach, diarrhea
- changes in vision
Talk to your doctor, if you experience prolonged, painful
erections with Viagra.

Viagra Drug Interactions
Nitrates should never be combined with this medicine. Drugs that
increase the effects of this medicine include: Cimetidine,
Diltiazem, Erythromycin, Itraconazole (Sporanox), Ketoconazole (Nizoral),
Metronidazole (Flagyl), Sertraline (Zoloft). The following drugs
may decrease the effects of Sildenafil: Carbamazepine (Tegretol),
Phenytoin (Dilantin), Rifabutin, and Rifamptin For more
information about these interactions talk to your doctor or
pharmacist.

This medicine is used when needed and not taken on a regular
basis.

CIALIS
General Information
CIALIS (Tadalafil), an oral treatment for
erectile dysfunction, is a selective inhibitor of cyclic

Viagra and Levitra, one dose of Cialis can remain effective from
12-36 hours!

medicine because of medical condtions or medicines that they
take.
